Jennifer L. Pomeranz to speak at PHTT 2015

We are delighted to announce that Jennifer L. Pomeranz will be speaking at Public Health Think Tank 2015!

Jennifer L. Pomeranz, JD, MPH, is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor in the College of Global Public Health at New York University. She studied History and Italian at the undergraduate level at the University of Michigan, then obtained her Juris Doctorate from Cornell School of Law and finally completed her Master of Public Health from Harvard’s T.H. Chan School of Public health.

Prior to joining the NYU Faculty she has worked as an attorney, the Director of Legal Initiatives at Rudd Center for Food Policy & Obesity at Yale and an Assistant Professor at Temple University. Ms. Pomeranz is also the Policy Chair of the Health Law Section of the American Public Health Association and the official liaison between the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American Public Health Association.

Her research is geared primarily towards public health law and policy. She is especially interested in policy and legal options to address the food environment, obesity and products that create a negative impact on public well being.

She has authored over forty peer-reviewed and law review journal articles and a book, Food Law for Public health, which will be published in October 2015 by the Oxford University Press.
